Moonlight Constellation
2014
oil on panel
9 x 12
This is the third and final revision of this painting I started in 2009. Here the Moon falls to earth taking the form of a flower. The lush heat, chaos, sexuality and aggressiveness of earth is in direct contrast to the eternal. How can the moon who has been looked upon by every man and woman since we crawled out of the swamps understand our fragile fleeting lives. Only by taking form of that which is fleeting and fragile to our selves
