Paintings > Suspicious Sources

When I was a young undergrad painter I only painting from life, I was so focused on the challenges of rendering a 3d experience in 2d I had become obsessed. My obsession lied not with the art work I was creating but reality its self. I had the feeling that I could not see deeply enough or concentrate sharply enough to understand what I was looking at. Surely there must have been something in the way that was polluting my eyes. I Suspected that photography has such a strong influence on me threw advertising and media. I must be understanding what I was looking at threw a photographic filter. Realizing photography was part of my visual mechanics I decided to invest myself in exploring photography as a source that was equal but different then the 3d world.
